ERMC This is a series of logos I did for my main client, Elk River Machine Company. Elk River Machine Company is an 80,000 square foot manufacturing and assembly facility located 35 minutes northwest of Minneapolis, Minnesota. From modest beginnings as a small blacksmith shop, ERMC has grown into a nationally recognized producer of high quality equipment, with machining and custom fabricating capabilities unrivalled in the upper Midwest. Check them out. http://www.ermc.com The first logo on the left took about a week to do. Basically the concept evolved as the project progressed. One idea leading to the next. As far as elements go this is the most complex of the three titles displayed on this page. It was produced for 16x9 format. The second logo in the middle is the simples of the three displayed here and took about half and hour to create mainly because the client already had the designs for the logo. All I did was add a very simple animation and create a 3D representation of the client provided 2D logo. The third logo on the right took about a day to do. It is based on 3D text and utilizes and existing font. The animation element are very simply and uses a basic deformation for the word Express. The aspect ratio for the last two logos was based on a typical computer screen. I over laid them on a frame from the first logo which is the technique I used for the client's entire video of which these are excerpts. I did this since the vide used a lot of previous video footage that was shot in the typical TV aspect ration and made for a nice back drop for a variety of elements and transitions to be displayed on large 16x9 screens at a trade show. All the background music and sound came from either Sony Cinescore, or SmartSound. |
